Welcome to the homepage of TEAM PUMA WRESTLING - a top quality, year-round, wrestling club covering K-12 Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman forms of wrestling
TEAM PUMA WRESTLING CLUB:
is dedicated to the advancement of K-12 youth wrestling from beginner to elite levels for both males and females
emphasizes excellence in the classroom, at practice, and at competitions. We train STUDENT-athletes and encourage high performance in the classroom as well as on the mat.
trains Champions of today and tomorrow five days a week and ensures they have skills useful in the classroom, on the mat, and in their communities (self-confidence, responsibility, ownership, teamwork, respect, and many other values)
offers complementary training to wrestlers already wrestling with their local club or school. We do not request or require wrestlers to depart their home or original club. For those who desire training on their club’s off-days, TEAM PUMA can add to their development.
For wrestlers unaffiliated to any local club or new to the area, we welcome you to join TEAM PUMA under a plan suitable to your needs.
TEAM PUMA'S membership flexibility (join the team or train with the team) keeps inline with our objective - increase the overall performance of San Diego wrestling at State, National, and International levels. The backbone characteristics of these objectives are shared knowledge, camaraderie, respect, sportsmanship, and pride.
San Diego county is vast with many pockets of excellence; when on the mat we are opponents, when off the mat, we are proponents of each club and wrestler in the county, state, and nation.
We aim to instill these characteristics and values in all wrestlers who participate at TEAM PUMA.
Join us in shaping your success.

Self-discipline means doing what you SHOULD do rather than what you WANT to do.
Dedication + Hard Work + No excuses + God = Success
Train Hard. — Play Harder. — Praise God no matter what.
The trouble with not having a goal is that you can spend your life running up and down the field and never score. –Bill Copeland
